When given the assignment, there were two things emphasized efficiency with transporting the materials, and making it a functioning rest stop. What better material that can be folded than cloth?? Thats why i chose the tensile tent structure. Moreover, my intent was to shade majority of the stop only using this tensile tent structure and aluminum columns that are uniform and easy for storage and transportation.

Cellophane House
The construction of the cellophane house is similar to my intent. The house is effecient in the building process, and also has a sense of lightness to it. It was quickly planned and assembled. The simplicity is obvious, and that essentially encompasses my intent for the rest stop.
